Composer and improvisational pianist Tomas Kutavičius is one of those rare artists who create quietly, without fanfare and without a desire to stand out in the public eye. His own music and the Muse that inspires it are enough for him—an invisible yet powerful impulse to which he faithfully surrenders and which leads him down a different, as yet unknown path each time.
In this solo concert, Tomas Kutavičius will sit down at the piano and improvise, listening to himself and to what is happening around him. His music is an open field of emotions, full of vivid states and moods that shift naturally, as if to the rhythm of nature.
When listening to Tomas’s improvisations, you can hear nature itself: the elements, the rustling of the wind, the silence of dawn or the tranquility of twilight, the rippling of a lake’s waters, or the cry of birds in the distance. This is not an illustration of sounds, but a sense of their authenticity.
Despite the emotional richness, each improvisation has a clear form and internal structure. They are self-contained microcosms, each with its own logic and rhythm, yet harmoniously merging into a single whole. This harmony naturally resonates with the listener and creates a space for experience.
