Following two sold-out concerts, “Contra Jazz” returns to the Magic of Music Club. This time, they’re introducing a new program. This marks the quartet’s third performance on the club’s stage, so it seems that these encounters with “Contra Jazz” are becoming a wonderful tradition.

They’ll perform pieces from previous albums, as well as those that never found their way onto an album. The concert will feature Contra Jazz’s signature blend of alternative jazz, rock, and classical music, but plenty of room will be left for improvisation and unexpected musical choices. According to the quartet’s leader, Arūnas Šlaustas, the aim is to “build a bridge between the present and the past, blurring the boundaries between cultures, genres, and temperaments.”
