Muzikos Magijos Klubas has already hosted a special event dedicated to the dialogue between music and painting, in which painter Arturas Lukas Lapajevas presented his works accompanied by music carefully selected specifically for this experience. The event took place in October and attracted significant interest, receiving excellent feedback from the audience.
During the evening, the paintings were presented one by one, without any prior commentary — each accompanied by a single musical piece lasting from three to seven minutes. The musical playlist, curated from the club’s phonotheque, spanned different countries, genres, and eras. This format invited the audience to focus fully: on one image, one piece of music, one moment.
The music for this session was selected from an exceptionally wide repertoire — ranging from subtle classical works to unexpected contemporary sounds. Not every pairing may fit within conventional frames, yet this is precisely where the magic of these encounters lies: in the opportunity to discover new sensations, break free from stereotypes, and expand the boundaries of perception.
Arturas Lukas Lapajevas (Vilnius) works primarily with oil on canvas, and his paintings are collected not only in Lithuania but also across other European countries and the United States. At first glance, his works may appear similar due to technique, yet each painting “sounds” in its own way. Their emotional content is original, vibrant, and unrepeatable — much like an improvisation.
We invite you to spend this late Saturday afternoon experiencing deep, gentle relaxation.
