The program "Looking at the Sun" is the performer's personal reflection on the theme of life and death. The selected classical music pieces reflect inner soul searching, hope in faith, the cycles of nature, the constant change, decay, and renewal of everything. The concert program is inspired by American psychotherapist Irvin Yalom's book Looking at the Sun, in which the author reflects on the themes of the transience of human existence and its existential meaning.
Accompanied by the music of two contemporary composers, Mykolas Natalevičius and Peter Vasks, these thoughts will be explored through the prism of both humanity and the nature that constantly surrounds us, reflecting on the constant change, decay, and renewal of all things.
The program will be performed by pianist Gabija Natalevičienė, an artist already familiar to listeners of the Music Magic Club, who stands out for her deep and spiritual understanding of music. In her concerts, Gabija consistently seeks to reveal unusual "colors" of music and its non-traditional forms to listeners, often touching on themes of sacredness and meditation.
