  • Trumpeter Dominykas Vyšniauskas, who has performed at the Magic of Music Club on numerous occasions, will be playing alongside two exceptionally talented Latvian jazz musicians, Edvīns Ozols and Artis Orubs!

    We will see D. Vyšniauskas, a creative trumpeter whose improvisational thinking constantly amazes even the most discerning listeners. He will be accompanied by double bassist E. Ozols, who plays in both classical and modern jazz projects. A solid foundation for the performance will be provided by A. Orubs, a percussion virtuoso and one of the most sought-after and renowned drummers in Latvia. All performers are members of the prestigious Latvian Radio Bigband!

    This trio's performances reveal a natural musical freedom, friendship, and spirit of improvisation – this is jazz that is born here and now.


  • About the performers:

    Dominykas Vyšniauskas – Lithuanian trumpeter and improviser. Dominykas grew up surrounded by various types of music and is now renowned as a skilled and versatile musician. While exploring the fundamentals of musical styles, he constantly seeks spaces where improvisation can emerge. He has collaborated with Michael Moore, Vijay Iyer, Andreas & Mathias Pichler, Arnas Mikalėnas, Jan MaksimovičiumI, Liudas Mockūnas, Arturas Bumšteinas, Petras Vyšniauskas, Klaus Kugel, and others.

    Edvīns Ozols – Latvian double bassist and bass guitar master. He actively performs and records music in various jazz projects and collaborates with renowned Latvian performers. His playing is characterized by technical precision, musical intuition, and the ability to adapt to various stylistic contexts, which is why he is appreciated by both fellow musicians and listeners.

    Artis Orubs is a talented Latvian jazz drummer who has expanded his knowledge beyond Latvia. He studied at the Emils Dārziņš Music School, studied at the conservatories in Utrecht and Amsterdam, and later returned to Latvia to study at the Jāzeps Vītols Academy of Music. Orubs' talent goes beyond the boundaries of classical jazz – the artist has also turned his attention to composition and production. Artis has played with an impressive number of Latvian and internationally renowned musicians, while also serving as the main drummer in the Latvian Radio Big Band and teaching at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music's jazz department.
