Sound & Vision: The Admirable Trembling of Time

The Magic of Music Club has invited people to meetings on numerous occasions, where images and sounds work together to allow art to be experienced more deeply. The essence of these evenings is concentration: on a single image, a single sound, a single moment.

Last October, an evening of synergy between music and oil paintings was successfully held, revealing how different arts can complement each other. This time, a similar experience will be continued, but with a different focus – photography.

The evening will be dedicated to one author – photographer Ludo Segers (Luxemburg/Canada). Just as a musician interprets a score, Ludo interprets the worn surface of a wall, the falling light in a concert hall, or the frozen flight of a cormorant in Juodkrantė. He is not interested in the moment itself, but in what lies behind it – the "warmth of the moment," the emotional integrity that often slips past the hurried eye.

During this particularly interesting meeting, Ludo's photographs will be displayed, and each of them will be accompanied by a specially selected piece of music that will accompany the image throughout its display. Music here acts as an equal part of the experience, helping to highlight the mood hidden in the frame.

As in previous evenings of this format, the combinations of music and photography may be unexpected, but this is precisely what opens up the possibility of discovering new sensations, breaking free from stereotypes, and expanding the boundaries of perception.
