African musical culture is extremely colourful and hard to grasp. It was "born" with human communities, has always been linked to the fundamental values of humanity - togetherness, connection to ancestors, respect for nature - and is still an inexhaustible source of inspiration for musicians, and its influence can be heard in many places - blues, jazz, rock, hip-hop and electronic music!
This time at the Magic of Music Club, we present a programme of records from some of the continent's most famous artists. We'll be listening to Ali Farka Toure, Oumou Sangare, Salif Keita, Philemon Zulu, Dhafer Youssef and some others.
