We invite you to a unique event with Haruspic, a duo of two artists who have been composing music based on Šlipas' paintings for 40 years (1985-2025). Haruspics, the Etruscan shamans, conjured up the future for their tribe, and this duo conjures up unusual musical worlds.
Haruspic's musical genre is difficult to define - it is original music with a cinematic edge, combining traditional instruments such as the mandolin, guitar, piano, rubaba, saxophones, clarinet, and minimal electronic elements.
The latest album by the duo Vytautas Labutis and Artūras Šlipavičius, Balti sparnai, was presented at the Vilnius Book Fair in 2023 and is now available on vinyl. The performances often feature paintings by Šlipas, which additionally create a spectacular visual and audio world.
