On an April evening, Duo Nida, an exceptional duo consisting of flutist Miglė Astrauskaitė and French cellist Jordan Costard, will tell their musical story at the Magic of Music Club. The musicians of the duo are winners of various international competitions who met during their studies in Paris. Their concerts have been enjoyed by audiences in Lithuania, France, and Germany, and the duo's music has been recognized by French music critics. Duo Nida also performed on the prestigious French radio program Generations France Musique, where they presented Miglė Astrauskaitė's compositions.
Although their creative journey has taken them to the most prominent stages in Europe – from Miglė Astrauskaitė's performances at the Paris National Opera, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona to Jordan Costard's performances at the Berlin Philharmonic, Salle Pleyel, and his solo debut at the Paris National Philharmonic – the musicians of Duo Nida greatly appreciate the opportunity to share their music in an intimate setting, thus conveying their rich palette of unique musical colors even more sensitively. The name Duo Nida was inspired by the special energy that both performers felt in Nida. The musicians intuitively drew a parallel between the forces of nature and their instruments: the sound of the flute flows like the waves of the sea, while the timbre of the cello reveals itself like majestic and earthy dunes.
The concert program is a dialogue without words. The performers will travel through different eras: from the serene Baroque to the energetic rhythms of the 20th century and compositions written by the flutist herself. We invite you to become part of this dialogue and experience the magic of music created by a duo that combines mastery and sincere passion for music on stage!

This performance by Duo Nida at the Music Magic Club is part of the RE:TURN project. The project is partly funded by the Vilnius City Municipality.
RE:TURN is a project by the Music Magic Club aimed at bringing young, professional Lithuanian musicians who currently live abroad or have recently returned to Lithuania into the cultural orbit of Vilnius. These are musicians who often have significant achievements in the international arena and are well known in other countries, but do not yet have enough opportunities to perform frequently in their homeland. This cycle aims to create conditions for them to take their rightful place among their colleagues in Lithuanian musical life and to gain recognition from music lovers in Vilnius.
