Julija Andersson – one of the most prominent violinists and violists of the younger generation in Lithuania, performing in prestigious concert halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Tonhalle in Zurich, Gewandhaus in Leipzig, and St. Martin in the Fields in London. Julija is a soloist with the New Ideas Chamber Orchestra (NIKO), founder of the Alanta Music Festival, and lecturer at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She performs with Duo Andersson at international festivals throughout Europe.
Dalia Simaška is a violinist and violist of the younger generation whose musical activities span both classical and contemporary repertoire. She has performed as a soloist with the Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra (MDR), the Baltic Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (conducted by Kristjan Järvi), the Magdeburg Philharmonic, the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, and the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra. Since 2007, Dalia has been a soloist with the New Ideas Chamber Orchestra (NIKO), with which she has performed in various cities around the world and collaborated with such performers as Kristjan Järvi, Avi Avital, Mari Samuelsen, Roman Patkolo, and David Geringas.
