Latvians Deniss Pashkevich (saxophone, flute, synthesizers), Edvins Ozols (bass guitar), and Artis Orubs (drums) are three distinctive personalities united in a rare musical collaboration. Their project is a blend of spontaneity, freedom of improvisation, and personal musical experiences.
The trio’s music intertwines swing, funk, “old school” jazz, world music, and rock rhythms, while the performers consciously avoid a commercial sound. According to them, this concert is a bold, avant-garde take on contemporary jazz, and the musicians themselves describe their performance as a “radical invitation to the world of modern jazz.”
