Live Music

Trio: voice, clarinet, piano

2025-09-16,  Antradienis — 19:00
  • The programme by vocalist Salomėja Petronytė, clarinettist Marta Kacion and pianist Gintarė Rudaitytė will intertwine the singing timbre of the clarinet, the sensitive lyrics of the songs and the enchanting sound of piano.

The most beautiful poetic stories of chamber music and song king Franz Schubert (1797 - 1828) will be performed, including the enchanting Der Hirt auf dem Felsen for soprano, clarinet and piano. We will also hear the lyrical dreams of American composer Dominick Argento (1927-2019) in To be Sung Upon the Water; Francis Poulenc's (1899-1963) sonata for clarinet and piano with French flair; and the famous song Chemins de l'amour. Composer Osvaldo Golijov (b. 1960) will add some South American charm with Lua Descolorida, while Richard Strauss (1864-1949) will send the audience out into the light with his famous Morgen!.

In between the pieces, the musicians will share stories about the music they perform, establish a closer relationship with the audience and respectfully present music rarely performed in Lithuania.
